The Word

Flames scorch, char and rot but do not consume Tease; use your body and soul for evil Words mighty and strong, swifter than a two Edge sword; stand for the edification Of Christ. Before the evil one takes YOUR Babies out of the crib, to destruction Teach the children, his Word, sing His praises. Unlock my words, lord, for your vast kingdom Prayers for your kingdom, forever to reign! My first atttempt at blank verse, for Deborah Guzzi's contest.

We are all so busy "living" and providing material things for our children we forget the most important thing-teaching them about their Creator. Sad but true for many. Still I pray for all children-our future. Great write, Doris! Peace and love, Audrey P.S. Thank you for your reading and leaving your always kind comments on my poems.
