The Warmth of a Comment

Her eyes filled with salty tears. It does not matter why. She was exuberant from a comment that restored her soul's equilibrium. It was like a hymn to hope under the darkest of skies.  In her soul garden,it was fair, fragrant and spring.again. And roses, once again, smiled at a loving sun!                       11-8-2020

A positive comment can really boost self esteem and bestow happiness. But I personally think even if others appreciate or not we should appreciate our write and feel good about it. Self esteem is very important in life for happiness.Have a great day ahead Rama

Rama.Right on both counts. Friendship counts more than poetry to some. Some are into comnents.you can see how many poems I have written. Let all ignore me! I still write with few commentors , I adore those who do. Some seem only driven for trophies. That's OK,,,not my game.do what you like Pangie

I don't think it's that simple Pangie... You have to remember, poets have different reasons for being on this site. Some post to keep a library of their poems, some post and like to encourage and support others... Some have time and some do not.. in the spring and summer I'm too busy, so not as active... Be you and concentrate on what you do.... Take care

People should never underestimate the power of reaching out to someone... May it be a comment on the street, on social media or even on here...

So right on, Silent. Here, as we all know are 30,000 poets. All too busy to even pen a word? In life, same nonsense... We short ourselves by ignoring others, Pangie xx

Just a few nice words can make someone valued, and it costs nothing. But isn't it a selfish world we live in. Tom

You coined it! Perfect. Poets will read you, or I by the 100's and never say..goodl....nice...thank you. It's like your poem or mine does not exist at all I always feel like mine are plots in a cemetery. It's an easy solution..don't read Poetry if you have no intention of commenting..harsh? Yes. But harder on the poet who wonders what's wrong with my poem. Nothing...is wrong. It's as you say. A selfish world in lockdown who have no time to Acknowledge the poet. Then write poems about how they love the planet? Nonsensense. They love themselves Pangie xx
