My mind perceives a wall so high to scale is just a dream. A barrier beyond the sky transcending wanted themes. What material is used to build such a structure to detour? How strong a mortar keeps passion stilled and secrets held secure? I've tried in vain so many times to climb this lofty height. What is due from me for crimes held sway from freedoms light? Perhaps my will has dried this brick and hardened plastered clay to build this wall so tall and thick that stands in my own way. Revised 10/24/2016 For The Wall Contest Sponsored By Anthony Slausen

We all form our own walls, whatever they may be. I love this poem , it is subtle enough for us to make our own conclusion ! Well done, Charlie!!

:) So glad that there is a way through this wall. So symbolic of the barriers that we erect ourselves. Thanks for the visit to my POTW, Charlie. All the best.

Wow, what a poem, I have read this a few times and already taken a few messages from it, I love when one can take a subject, or a simple object and turn it into such depth of thought! :) A7
