The Unexpected Bard
sat a toad by a pond
pondering
of some words
words of wonder
wondering
then he croaked them
gave his voice
voicing
and looking up
saw an audience
rejoicing
and the animals
with a clap
clapping
some moved to tears
tearing
this toad
with his standing ovation
thought he’d better
write down
his creation
