The Supple Smile of You

I have seen many a moon come and go from harvest to winter back to another new her glows have brought comfort and warmth watching her dances across a faithful sky Once barren cherry trees now blossoms busy honey bees bond with her beauty a red robin sings along in a sweet harmony as the springtime winds scatter her soft petals Looking out to the green rolling hills in distance where we used to frolic and dance abound a young couple is holding hands and searching for a perfect spot to lay amongst the wildflowers My heart beats stronger as tepid thoughts roam stopping on an etched memory the supple smile of you I wander for hours in the pools of faraway eyes and wait for a chance to hold and caress your soul I can't remember the last time, but stars shone bright The moon said hello, good morning, then hello again I can't remember the last time, but waiting has to end In case you forgot, in case I forgot, time it hasn't stopped I don't want to sacrifice another day without saying a day without holding you and not letting go breathless moments at the peak of their maturation where honey dipped hearts live on a breeze Moons come, moons go, love tries to slip away Truth be told this loving heart is here to stay

Yes Tim, sadly love seems extremely fickle. I enjoyed this trip down memory lane and your descriptions always bring vivid images to ones mind. Great writing as usual!
