The Soul

Our soul is not our soul we do not own, we only borrow for it is life itself resting within us while passing through the unknown a timeless light from another place a mirror for our heartfelt desires a guide to lead us from darkness it is eternal and allows each breath to be felt each thought to be measured a lifeforce that crosses the ages without thought a constant thread that's woven into the bodies of humanity as a singular binding existence its beauty is boundless, its existence unimaginable this spirit, this soul is a light flowing from the hand of God to give life to the unknown and allows us to believe we are more than we are for it holds the record of our lives

We are not our souls, we are envelopes. Some remain unopened, some opened and delivered. Some clearly marked, "Return to Sender".
