The Sky Is Falling

The Sky is Falling The bluebirds in the birdbath~ all were screeching today. I had to listen very closely  To what they had to say: "The sky is falling, tell everyone. We soon we all be smashed out!" More birds came with more news. "Worse news, the trees are falling,  too." We heard it from the Nobel Prize  Winners at the Einstein Zoo! Some in great desperation, smashed their baby eggs in sad consternation. Some in utter sadness killed their old Mother and Father birds, too. There was no hope, they just knew it. I mean, after all, who dare question the Nobel Prize Winners at the Zoo? There was, however,a group of cardinals who never listened to the Oracles at the Zoo and their doomsday news. They lived each day in God's hands in  joy, faith and Divine Protection. A lovely lady read to them from a book with golden edges~ They twirled their heads, as she read. One sat on her shoulder, with his soft face against her tresses. They knew there was a God, they lived their days in glory. The wise cardinals knew that only God will call their final ending. So, they never listened to fear stories. The cardinals had many baby birds, grand baby birds and great grand baby birds! And took care of their aging parent birds and read to them, in warm blue blankets. Right to their birdly ends. The only news in the cardinal kingdom was, and still is, since His world began:        " To God be all the glory! "                    +++

No, this is in no way my first poem, which was a disaster,. I have thought of removing it, because it was a disaster! Actually, I did not know how to use the poetry soup site, so it is more of a typo. LOL. Anyway I have no idea why people are fascinated by first poems. I never go and look and see them at all.. I suggest you read some of my other poems, not the first one… like PoTDs and ones you fancy.. I am hardly a conceited poet, meaning i write for the glory of God not fame. I consider you, a far better poet)). My cousin who wrote here, loved Cardinals, too. She has passed on, I think she was a saint! A lovely person, God called home, love, Pangie

The birds should be in charge of the news.)) and we need to do due diligence. I don't know why the story of 'Chicken Little ,popped into my head. Strange things happen when writing poetry. Appreciate your and comments very much. Panagiota P

This was a breakthrough poem for me, GW. It reminds me of my dreams in life. Fear has never stopped me, ever in my life. Science over God's plan. Not a chance. Our age forgets WHY the Ark Noah built was for. Man was living in sin. The most popular one today. And I don't know the retribution coming this time. It's going to be horrendous. Panagiota
