The Secrets of the Trees
The gifts of trees bestow such blessings
to relieve us of any strife endured;
within their tendril branches essence
reside secrets yet to be unfurled.
Listen all you ears of spirit
for whispers amid the leaves;
sacred secrets sung in lyrics
heard by the birds and bees.
Beneath this sand and sepia loam
telecommunication passes freely;
the fungi grown and roots that roam
share Gaia’s knowledge secretly.
Mankind thinks of trees as wood
for building and other needs;
but they are lives to be understood
by those whose spiritual eyes see.
Though they don’t travel or sit and talk
great sages of old are trees;
and when among them you should walk
with gracious arms give one a squeeze.
Your heart will warm from nature’s glow
any distress shall be appeased;
into your life blessings will flow
sweet truths you will perceive.
