The Ruby Rose - Typo Fixed

The ruby rose that I once knew was graceful, mild, and oh so sweet. I put down roots near her and grew to understand she was discreet. Though in her garden all seems well, the ruby rose that I once knew has secrets that she hates to tell. Her lovely petals hide what’s true. I learned too well what would ensue when one disturbs her garden’s bed. The ruby rose that I once knew took wrong one simple thing I said. I got too close to what she’d hid. Revealing thorns, she pierced me through and all for nothing wrong I did!! The ruby rose that once I knew. Dedicated to a poetry mentor from long ago Nov. 16, 2021 For the 'Rose' Poetry Contest of Robert James Liguori

See? I've returned to leave another comment, although I don't recall what I wrote in the one that disappeared. So, weird things are still happening here? I'm glad you're still posting here, and I may be, too. At least for a while.

thanks, Lin. It was so strange. I was reading your comment and then it was gone. I will never understand strange things like that. Hope to see a lot of you.

I love the mystery behind the sentences you create, and I consider how you recite phrases. This is a form that you excel at. Best of luck in the competition. Thanksgiving greetings!

Andrea, you have well described the experience of a friends betrayal stemming (sorry) from the wish to hide an area of shame and regret. I love the phrase repetition. This is a form you do so well. Best wishes for the contest. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello Andrea, That Ruby rose was angry so when picked up showed her thorns and it was felt and then it hurt. Hugs.

Secret message. But one must not disturb the plant otherwise she would die. Hugs.

I enjoy the intrigue behind the word you write, so revealing without telling all. Beware of of opening Pandora's box. Hugs, Bill
