The Rest Will Follow

When the rain fell, my eyelids shut Please stop the rain, please stop the pain The day was long, gray skies held on Waiting for the sun to shine again For the body to move more freely To see, to feel, the comfort, warmth Live in the dreams there are to pursue Without pushing so hard to get through To accept what has come upon me To do my best, keep reaching for the skies Knowing, they will soon be clear again Knowing, I can only do the best I can --- The rest will follow --- Heidi Sands 8/19/17
