The power of logic

I have bees in my bonnet Reminding me that I have the right to talk I have the right to an identity That doesn't fit in until it does I'm not telling you the bees are talking But there's a buzz around here I'd usually dive under water when attacked by a swarm But this time I'm sitting it out Contemplating the long game Because sitting next to a hive wearing bonnets Seems a little suspect if I'm sick of a bonnet full of bees

Imagine producing all that honey, then watching some guy with a net around his head steal it. I'm surprised the animal rights mob haven't revolted over it.

Vegans are trying to get people to stop using bees as slaves - I'm sure they'll accept your support :)

There is a saying that it is advisable to let the bee out the same way it came in ... a door or window ... I'm allergic to bees, so try to give them a wide birth. I liked the logic of this poem, as in STET (an old notation on typed script). Have a nice evening, DD :)

Haha I hope that's berth or the allergy issue is compounded :) I'm old enough to have started working when people were writing stet on paperwork to ignore the alteration. I quite liked all the evidence of past times that used to lie around offices like microfiche and carbon paper :) thanks for your comment x

DD, bees are the "logic" of the landscape for without them most aspiring growth would wither for lack of pollination ...wait, is this an X-rated poem....

Well, this comment gets everyone thinking way more than the poem! Is it cryptically x rated? Are bees in bonnets actually something I should cash in on? Are bees real swell? Quite possibly haha :)

Thanks Bill, there's nothing like a bee in your bonnet to make poems appear quickly! Thanks for your kind words, appreciated

Bees certainly deserve a nice poem. Never has an insect been so thoroughly domesticated (this can be argued). I enjoyed this outdoorsy style poem. It was interesting.

I'm not telling you the bees are talking ~ but there's a buzz around here! That line would make a fun monoku in itself, syllable perfect too! I can certainly see logic embedded in this one, just by the power of deduction alone, super clever, cheers David

Ooh I'm wondering whether to switch to a deerstalker now :)(Sherlock/Deduction - I really do leap about at times!) Thank you for your enthusiasm, appreciated :)

I knew right way that you had a bee in your bonnet about something. Although a swarm of them is a little alarming, I imagine they cause quite a ruckus. Sitting it out I find very brave. Ok I admit you have perplexed me dear friend, I shall have the vision of you in your bonnet full of bees, all day ! That has to be the mark of a good poem !

I figured out the bees were happier free, so they've gone on their way and I've got a beeless bonnet :) thank for your comment as always :)
