The Poetess By the Water

She sits at her desk With paper and pens The books she needs She- ponders awhile Thinking, wondering What poems to create No ideas come Taking all she needs She strolls to the park Where it is peaceful So she can ponder Thinking all her thoughts To write her poetry The waves come to shore She closes her eyes For a short moment An idea comes The writing begins All words flying out Onto a blank page

This is an amazing poem Darlene - I in fact like this the best ever, and have made it a fav - we all go through these dry spells, and our muse then chooses to go on vacation also! Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

You are great at taking little snippets of time, whether a time of motion or thought or other (playing with a cat) and embellishing them poetically. That's a gift. I wonder if this is about your muse's own process? If I wrote one for what inspires my muse when she's got nothing, it would be about turning to music. I truly enjoyed! All the best ... CayCay

Being in the right environment usually gets your muse active, Darlene. Inspiration cannot be forced; it will flow once the mod sets in. Regards // paul

Better still my friend-- *You let your poetic pen fly--its inks splash out flowering meadows. *Its gentle and loving heart sing a beautiful tune. *And Cassia grant words falling as welcomed rain to thirsty deserts! God bless ....

After I finish a poem I enter a state of panic where I feel I will never ever have another good idea. Of course an idea comes, I write then begin the panic process anew. Wonderful poem. Have a great day

Hello David Mchattie, oh do you panic all the time you create a poem? I get concerned that the poetry form is not right. Yet so far so good. I do not panic when i write. But i do wonder if my poem is good enough. have a nice evening my friend.

Well said my friend. We never know where or when inspiration will come. It just comes and when it does we have to be ready because if we don't write it down it goes away. Excellent piece. God Bless and thanks for your kind words on my "Don't Be Discouraged". JB
