The Names of Jesus - Hymn
“Jesus, the name that charms our fears
that bids our sorrows cease.”
O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing lyrics by Charles Wesley,
music by Carl Glazier.
Immanuel, we praise your name
The God who calms our fears
Redeemer of our sin and shame
Sweet music to our ears.
All-knowing Counselor in grief
The One who dries our tears
A loving Lord, our blest relief
Sweet music to our ears.
The Light, the Truth shows us the way
Our path Grace kindly clears
Our Master’s goal: trust and obey
Sweet music to our ears.
Oh! Jesus, hallowed name we praise
Our Savior through the years
A Prophet, Priest and King we raise
Sweet music to our ears.
