The Minnesota Sky
The Minnesota sky
He's lying on the ground...
no mercy to be found...
He begs and pleads and says
that he can't breathe
The world keeps looking on...
human dignity is gone...
I pray to God to help
next time it could be me
Chorus
So I'm choking on a truth
that's seldom heard...
Justice falls down to the
ground without a word
Another day goes by,
and nothing seems to change
Pray that soon will come better days
The Minnesota sky...
gets blacker every night...
The world is watching and
joins in the fight
So many years have passed...
the colors they still clash...
We hope and pray some day
it'll be alright
Chorus 2
I see the cards are stacked against
me in the deck...
How can I live, with your knee
pressed on my neck?
Another day goes by...
and nothing seems to change
I pray, that soon,
will come... better days
Chorus
So I'm choking on a truth
that's seldom heard...
Justice falls down to the
ground without a word
Another day goes by,
and nothing seems to change
Pray that soon will come better days
Pray that soon will come better days
Pray that soon will come better days
Pray that soon will come better days
