At the bottom of the laundry container There stood out to me the reason why Those white socks were so smelly I couldn't believe my eyes A dead mouse there among those white socks With a second look and whiff! Ohhhhh! That whiff!! Nope!! Only a sock so filthy and caked with dirt It had gone totally stiff So much like life is what is contained in the hamper You can't step in dog poop Without getting some on your socks You women probably understand, then some may not because they have not experienced it. Sweaty feet, running around in flip flops or without shoes or both in the same day or maybe two days or three days~~~~End results a job no one wants to tackle!!

My wife ...is a washday every day ..weather permitting Sara(unless we go shopping)

Brian, Our grandson decided to take a 18 wheeler truck driving job and would be gone about 2 or 3 weeks at a time. He would bring me his laundry to do so this explains the situation. Sometimes he would go several days driving and not change socks. It was rough. Thanks for dropping by. I usually do laundry several days a week for my husband and grandson. Sara

I heard a mouse one day whilst on holiday in an empty packet I had left on a seat. I told my husband and he said nonsense, how would a mouse get in here and into a packet, I nagged him till he got up and there was a mouse running up the curtain, Elias gave it a whack with his sandal and it fell down dead - I did feel somewhat guilty but there was no way I could sleep knowing it was in our room. So I know how it feels but to find it in the laundry would creep me out. Hugs and blessings Sara Jen

Jen, That would be an awful experience. I am glad your husband could handle it for you. We don't want to end life for any creature but some animals and insects don't belong in our living space. Your visit was informative. Sara

I can't imagine what I would do if I found a dead mouse in my laundry - would probably make my husband throw it away!

Line, That would be nice but alas probably too costly. Some today are of such poor quality that they are almost disposable. Thanks for the visit. Sara

Hi Sara, You penned a well written “ smelly”. That I have to open the doors and the windows! I still don't like laundry to this day. But it has to be done. I enjoyed the read. Have a nice day:-)Alexis

Victor, Summer and bare feet go together. I can't do that anymore but I did when I was young but never outside at all. I am a tender foot. Your visit was revealing. Sara
