This pic is for the beginning of the poem....

And this pic is for the last line of the poem....

You named me your treasure My worth? “Beyond measure!” My presence: your pleasure, to feast on at leisure I believed you You said, “You’re my flower! Your passion’s my power! My daily LOVE shower... You scent every hour!" I believed you You said I’m your life! Your amnesia for strife The drug, "Ebullience: Rife" The honey coating on knife I believed you You said, “You’re my dream Cherry pie PLUS the cream My SEXY Extreme! In the desert, the stream" I believed you… You said I’m your muse I champion your blues My kisses: life’s clues on how to win and not lose I believed you You said, but I bled Your words? They’re all dead! Their ghosts haunting my head When alone in my bed I curse...all...you... SAID! Jade

Hey there my friend, You are back in full passion. a wonderful if very disillusioned write. Remember though there is always love and truth in the world all youhave to do is open your heart to find it. love Shane xxx

Very effective piece Eileen, I think within each piece of poetry there is at least a granule of truth that provides the connectivity to the emotion within the write. You have done it very effectively here, I can feel the angst.

It is so nice to read your words again Eileen. This poem is filled with passion. Sadly I can relate to all the sweet lies. Great writing as usual Eileen!

I read your poem, Paul. It became Poem of the Day. People have missed you here. It is a lovely poem, and you know that your muse is still with you. I can't be back here fully for a while yet. I had a day of reprieve and needed to write some poems that I had started but couldn't finish. My thesis is in the final stages. I'm still hard put until the defense...hopefully some time next well. Thanks for the visit.

Empty words, a scorched heart, the ugliness of manipulation and deception . . . your poem vividly depicted the destructive force of this violent storm. Your passion flows once again in your signature write of scorned love. Hugs LO

Words drip with honey and give sustenance, but where the intent is to inflict hurt, they can cause harm or death...of a relationship. Powerful. Another 7. PS. Glad to see you're back in full throttle, Eileen. Lovely avatar. Happy mom's day! HUgs! Kim

Thanks, Sweetie....It's for today. I've done most of my thesis and will submit it tomorrow night, so tomorrow is a busy day as well. I just needed this day to post a poem or two to get it out of my system. Thanks for the visit and mother's day wishes. I wish you every blessing, dear. Hugs
