People generally say too much...when more truth is found in action. Well said.

Lin, you’ve summed up “tact” with grace and style. It’s so on target. We don’t need to go out of our way to hurt others. Imagine a world with a gentle culture. Wouldn’t that be wonderful? People might actually enjoy and welcome listening, discussion, and meaningful discourse. That is a reason why I am fearful about all the staff cuts at the State Dept. Those people likely understood how to build relationships. They’re gone for now. Hopefully they will be back. Smiles.

Inspired by recent ramblings, Duke. It would be a Utopian world if everyone spoke in a gentler fashion, despite differences in opinions in all phases of life. Thanks a lot.

A very well balanced monoku, I suppose it’s all down to circumstances Lin, both sides of your equation are valid, getting it right is essential when a person is under immense duress, great one liner! Cheers David

It's knowing the difference in timing that makes the message seem to be apples of gold. Thank you, David. It's been a while since I've written a Monoku. The timing is right.

Thank you, Tom. It’s also in knowing when to keep a mouth shut about things that are of no one's concern.

Thank you, Deb. Who can find fault with Rumi's sage sayings and what he inspires in us?
