Virginia Woolf Quote: "For beyond the difficulty of communicating ...

What does it take to become great? Allow me a moment to extrapolate. It’s the summation of things in a life that were not fate, Being oneself is the great escape.

Interesting approach, Bill. Aeschylus would like this one, although Maimonides would beg to differ. Can there be 'Fate' when Free Will is given? But then again, is it really 'given' if the Creator knows everything in advance? ~ Street-corner Phil the Philosopher

This is when it would be nice to get Milt's opinion ... especially now, he may know a little more accurately what we're discussing. :-) I miss him a lot. Now I'm getting emotional. Over and Out! Bill

Good questions, gw. One could argue that just because God knows all doesn't mean it's fate. He just knows how I will use my free will. Fate and Destiny are always interesting topic to discuss. I'm not sure any of us will ever know the answers we think we want to know. LOL Love your comments, my friend. Keep 'em coming. BB

Enjoyed this compact nugget, Bill. I cheated by reading the comments since I was unsure of the last line, but it rings clear.

Escape for the opinion of others instead of clinging to the voice within is the great escape, my friend. Being one's authentic self. :-) Thanks for the comment. I read others comments many times as I'm sure most of us soupers do. Have a great week! Bill

It certainly is Bill, trying to be like someone else will only end in frustration and heartache Always paddle your own canoe, that's what I live by. Hope your week is going well. Tom

I agree, Tom, we each need to be ourselves. Off to a good start, getting back on the horse so to say. :-) Bill

Ooh, I like this. Short, punch yet very far reaching and deep. This is clever poetry!
