The Forest Whispered
The forest whispered softly to the girl,
come it sighed and twining vines murmured;
and tangled wildflowers muttered in hushed tones.
Along a labyrinth path she floated as ferns caressed,
the ancient trees a canopy of protection like a temple;
and birds uttered a sadness as she lay deep in the green.
