The End Always In Sight

Life always comes to a stop forever is a word that's not true as we all have a numbers game our number will one day be due School was not my favorite place neither primary not even got high but looked forward to be gone come the final day glad to say goodbye Loved going to the local cinema in my younger days went every week every movie finishes with two words 'the end' made its finale not to speak My working life had ups and downs the bad ones glad to see their end loved the good jobs, sad to finish now retired relaxing is my friend Now thoughts go to my final end when life will indeed be no more but looking forward to heaven above meeting my saviour Jesus, glory roar! (This is written based on the thought that nothing lasts forever.)

Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Another fine poem, Gordon. In this world there will be trials and tribulations, be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world, Said our Savior, Jesus. It's all good to me for I know in whom I believeth. Amen. A poet friend in Texas, Bill

Yes, so true....Gordon ! Nothing lasts for ever. Realizing this if one can greet the end with expectation and cheer, he is indeed fortunate. You have always been one looking heavenwards. So the thought of life's end won't baffle you, I am sure. Let your retired life continue to be one of great relaxation with poetry to cheer you.

Live every day as if it is your last day on earth.......... and one day you will be right...... You are right Gordon even the stars we see in the sky, they tell us that by the time we see them, they have already burned out. But hey heck, isn't relaxing after retirement great ! :) Love your poem Gordon. Cheers from SV
