The Brother Who Gave

He is the brother who gave What did he give you ask The gift he gave, the life of his mother he helped save He had a pair, and he parted with one Again, his mother's life he helped spare He was a most generous son Oh yes, God put it in his heart to do this pure and noble thing Making yourself half a person, makes your soul whole and clean As a boy, he had a dream, it was a powerful premonition Are you kidding me, a kidney? When it came to pass, we thanked God for giving our brother this vision He is the brother who gave What did he give you ask The gift he gave, the life of his mother he helped save He had a pair, and he parted with one Again, his mother's life he helped spare He was a most loving son A tribute to my beloved brother David

Hi Freddie, This heartfelt poem brought tears to my eyes. That was a kind and selfless thing for your brother to do for your mother. You are fortunate to have such a brother. Thanks for sharing this heartfelt poem. :-) Alexis
