To a thirsty man, you’re his only desire. When seen as a waterfall, creativity you inspire. I’m eternally grateful, water to three, That which constitutes most of me. Thy pureness and power I often see, The giver of life if allowed to run free. When shared with another, encouraging harmony, Frequently two will begin speaking as we. Teach us lessons learnt of eternity, We’ll humbly thank you by taking a knee. You give us comfort and quench our thirst, We learnt to live and grow with you first.

Hi Bill, we're going through a drought right now, been that way since summer. When my son-in-law was mulching leaves with the riding mower, so much dust got kicked up. We're on water restrictions in our county. Even before this drought I never took water for granted. It's liquid gold to me. Wonderful poem you've written here on the life giving element of water. God's bountiful blessings to you & Sara. ~

Thank you, Regina, for the comments and a little of what's going on where you're at. Droughts can be devastating; we get more than our share here in Texas. Thanks for the blessings, my friend. They're always welcomed here at the Baker's home. Bill & Sara.

You are a wise man my friend, but people do not need to be wise to realise the blessings and benefits of water.. its free also for most of us, how sad some countries do not offer clean water... i wish the world would be able to enjoy the same comfort as us...

Amen. I've always said, "The world doesn't have a resource problem ... we just have a distribution problem. I'm all for getting paid what the job is worth, but a million a day is a little extreme, don't you think? Everyone should have access to clean water to drink. Thanks for the comments my friend. Bill

In Malta, we do not take water for granted. We depend on underground water, but it's not enough. We need reverse osmosis to obtain more good drinkable water. Lovely poem though. Great flow and rhyme. Blessings.

If the world would practice doing unto others as you would have them do unto you. We could help one another, and no one would need to go hungry or without clean drinking water. Thanks for your comments, Victor. They are always mindful. Have a blessed day, my friend. Bill

such a lovely tribute to water, dear hubby! I appreciate how the rhyme scheme just flows, as smoothly as running water. Sometimes I take water for granted but need to acknowledge how it is both in our bodies but also in our physical world. All hail, water! hugs, me
