The Beautiful Person - Inside of Me

THE BEAUTIFUL PERSON - INSIDE OF ME Open your eyes And you will see The beautiful person Inside of me But all you see Is all the wrong You are all so ignorant To the real me Help me to help yourself For when I’m gone It is you who is left Slowly your life becomes bereft You never loved me You never cared You never saw The beautiful person Inside of me To forgive me Is to forgive yourself If you don’t do it now It will be too late But instead you fill your life Full of hurtful words of hate I have committed my sins I am wholly aware But who is the one to pay the price When in a moment you were not so nice And in no moment will you ever see The beautiful person Inside of me I have committed my sins But in God eyes I will shine Learn to forgive me And I will forgive you God sees and hears all you do God has forgiven me Because HE sees The beautiful person Inside of me Indiana Shaw . . .

This is a most interesting poem. I fear too many are not viewed for the person they really are. How sad. Thanks for the insight.

There is therapeutic truth in these lines; repetition adds to the impact. Thanks. WE all sin, until we die, but some by GRACE have handed over the charge of every sin to Someone who is willing to pay (JESUS CHRIST). We are free, but it cost Heaven everything for YOU & I to remain beautiful - without any more effort, LAW/ "WORK". PTL

Wow, you had me trolling back to the past on this poem, yes, we all sin at some time, to forgive yourself lightens the load on our Christ . . . : )
