The Awake From a Dream

What was I dreaming Dreaming in poems Where I wore a black bracelet I had to remove Embers flew into my hair to be patted But no faces in flames And no fire was there Did I walk up a hill The dream is now fading The bracelet is lost The embers are ash

Thanks Jo, I know I shouldn't really flood my page unsculpted poems but sometimes they are nice to read in real time. Glad you liked it :)

The filmy and shadowy nature of a dream is well caught. Dreams often have no logical sequence.... It is the result of the mysterious working of the human mind and brain. When we wake up we can hardly remember it, we get just flashes only.

It was captured in almost real time too, after I wrote the last word I couldn't recall anything else:)

Yup we have fleeting memories of our dreams, and before we can prevent it all memory disintegrates. Easy reading and beautiful explanatory wording. Enjoyed.

Thanks Wen, I enjoyed how this didn't make sense then disintegrated but still kind of worked :)
