The Abandoned Orphan
He was an abandoned innocent tot
sent to an orphanage where havoc reigned
each night he shivered in his tiny cot
numb but brave he cried only when it rained
unspoken fears that never were laid to rest
sat deep in his chest, each day he would pray
"please don't let them hurt me" he did his best
but somehow, he always got in their way
food was scarce so he hid each tiny crumb
inside the folds of an old brown teddy
at night he lay there disheartened and glum
"maybe someone will need a boy like me"
a lonely child a flashback without blot,
he was an abandoned innocent tot.
