That Winding Path, Full of Saddest Sorrows

That Winding Path, Full Of Saddest Sorrows I walked that dark valley, death echoes ringing gone were sun's rays and sweetest life singing. That winding path, full of saddest sorrows Barren ground, full of no more tomorrows. I lingered not, for its black chills at my heart turning back, too well hidden was my start. With crying plea, I begged for relief Answer came back, seek more in thy belief. Then Light blasts opened ancient delusional eyes sun reappeared in bluest of skies. Strange, this came in about so very fast suddenly back, my heart and soul was cast. In blink of an eye, miracle had been performed. Whole once again, my spirit completely reformed. Robert J. A very soul rendering poem, Robert. The Comforter is real ... and it's transformative power is made manifest when we see how me overcome pain and sorrow in our lives. A beautiful, inspiring poem, my friend. My love and prayers are w/you always.

Hello Robert!! A very sad and moving sonnet. The pain and sorrow are obvious. Hold on to your hope and divine beliefs. I agree with what Paul says below about "darkness always gives way to light." The power and majesty of the words in your final couplet say it all Robert. Best Always, Gary

I find that the best emotional poems are born from sadness and pain; such is this one. Hold on to that belief, my friend; darkness always gives way to light. Take care....paul

Thank you my friend. Closing verses are the goal that I am now aiming for. Does not matter if its weeks months, years, or decades, as in God's eyes, such is far less time than a blink of the eye.
