Tender Silence
I’ve read many scholarly
works
those firmly grounded and
those firmly berserk
bored by page 2,
rarely anything new
doubtful that either are
true
with cute linguistic twerk
we fool the reader and self
bible yet my favorite top-shelf
Nostradamus and Cayce OK!
Shakespeare my brother
wordplay – Dickerson most
admired verse, Beethoven
when out-of-body my thirst --
at the end of the day
after labor pains me
all reason drains me
your unknowing sustains
me – more wisdom and
loving care, in the tender silence
God and you share……..
