Soup rules allow poets to post up to ten poems a day - ! If your muse is on fire and you want to post ten poems a day (irrespective of how many reads they may get) then just do it!

You woke at the stroke of midnight Brain buzzing, "You simply MUST write! You are filled with desire Your muse is on fire Creativity, you should never fight! Each poem’s been penned by yourself Not stolen off a high bookshelf And you know PS rules (Ignore all the blog fools) And always be true to thyself You’ve written ten poems ~ hooray! In journals your work should not stay So post ten poems on soup It may inspire our group Keep posting and do it YOUR way!"

ha ha ha Suz, I think the most i posted was about 4 in my early soup days, now I seldom post as I am focussing on writing poop/risque rhymes for my next book and i won't post them on soup:-) hugs jan xx

Karen i have such respect for any one who can post ten poems a day on a regular basis and whilst some poets don't like it and will try and deter you from doing it , it is fine with soup admin to post ten a day - so write to your heart's contest and post away! hugs jan xx

Great piece, Jan. Although I do admire poets with great output, I'm more of a one-a-day kind of guy, myself. I do, however, keep a notebook and pen on my bedside chest in case my muse decides to inspire me during the night.

same for me Duke I rarely post more than one now unless there is a contest filling quickly but i have the utmost respect for those who do regularly post ten a day quality poems:-) hugs Jan xx

Hi Jan , what a remarkable write and your message expressed so beautifully, Most of us would like to be considered adults with freedom of choice without others imposing their wishes/desires and inciting others to follow the pied piper into the Weser.

I hope you re consider re posting your poems and just block the 'pied piper' as many of us have done. I' m glad you are still here reading poems and commenting. Admin allows ten a day and if certain folk don't like it - tough, they know the rules and no one should be 'advised' to post less hugs jan xx

Ten sounds great. I only have time to read about 3 a day. Poems occasionally come to me in the shower. It seems weird that water can inspire.

I often wake with a poem in my head but I've never posted 10 in a day but i admire those who can and they shouldn't be critcised for doing what they enjoy:-) hugs jan xx

Great limericks, Jan. But more than ten poems isn't showing respect to others whose poems scroll off the list. However, if the rule says ten, it's up to them

I admire anyone who is so prolific in their writing and passion for sharing on soup but I'm surprised admin havent put some sort of limiter on accounts so folk cant post more than ten a day. hugs jan xx

Jan, love your limericks and message. Some are so petty to post negative comments on those who post ten poems a day. Love it when someone's muse is on fire. Maybe the petty ones have no muse and are a little jealous and wish they could write ten to post. A fav.

No finger should be pointed at anyone who posts for the betterment of the site. Jan, being inspired by Deb’s poem promoting respect, kindness and choice resulted in these verses as a reminder that we don’t have the right to preach to other poets about posting as long as they follow PS rules. Well done.
