“Star of Bethlehem” side with five crucifixion wounds

‘Poinsettia’ side

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is a special seashell, ‘sand dollar’ is its name, created by our Maker to have a special claim to fame. It tells the tale of Christ, Easter, and Christmas time, on either side a fact, the front the Star of Bethlehem, a poinsettia on the back. Not just Jesus’ birth is told by this amazing shell, five of the crucifixion wounds are borne by it as well: Four little holes for the nails which held him to die another one too where the Roman’s spear pierced his side. Break the center open and you will release five doves waiting to spread goodwill and peace. Some say they are the angels that sang to the shepherds on the first Christmas morn bringing them joy as they tended their herds. So if this treasure you should find while strolling on the beach, remember your salvation is, by faith, within your reach.
thanks, dear Ink, for your visit. I, too, love collecting shells and found my first sand dollar while combing the beach in Galveston, Texas, way back in 1968. I still have it, for it fascinated me before my mother told me the story/legend behind the sand dollar. You're right--nature has a delightful way of reminding us of God's blessings and greatness. Wishing you a day filled with springtime warmth, hugs, Sara
