Sweet Mary

(A Duo-rhyme, in the form that Mary Ports invented) The news surprised me, I confess. A woman of great kindliness has passed beyond life's mystery into that realm we cannot see. I'm certain that with family she's resting now. Eternally may she be filled with poetry! For all her positivity and goodness shown to you and me, I write this little poem. God bless Sweet Mary, friend and poetess. (Tribute to a poet friend of mine who passed away last month. She will be missed!)

Mary had a poem in every issue I think. Yes, I have done well in Bell's Letter's and have won some cash awards. Joyce

No I am writing in Bell's letters now and for the last few years. Not as early as 2005 though. Mary and Paul both had a poem in the last issue. I had a card that Bell's wife had died recently and also some of the poets so Mary was probably one of them. I don't know how long he will keep publishing. Joyce
