I am watching the sky,
changing, mingling,
liquid gold of the sun fading,
soon, the magical sky will touch the earth,
the hues of purple and pink blending,
in minutes this perfect sunset,
will slip away ... ablaze with exquisite drama.
From my window I gaze,
beyond my bare autumn tree,
at the tinges of light blue and streaks of scarlet,
the puffs of mauve, and yellow,
the clouds are low, wispy and dreamy,
it is so serene, calm, quiet and peaceful,
oh, what an unforgettable sundown this evening.
The colors are breathtaking,
opulent in beauty, stunning, and unforgettable,
the effect is very romantic,
I love the occasional wisps of orange,
and then, I watch as the sun falls into the horizon,
for a bit the sky is pulling the colors,
like she does not want to let them go yet.
