Sunrise Serenade

Upon a sunrise serenade
she sings within my heart
A distance stands between us as
on these moments we’re apart
My eyes now gazing northward
‘cross a lone horizon’s view
Of lonely days I’m wandering
beneath these skies of blue
An echo of the dawning with
my words on clouds above
In harmony her singing
comes a sonnet of my love
On this melodic morning
all my weary eyes can see
My life it shall be nothing
until she is here with me
