Sun Sonnet
There is no bright as brilliant as the sun,
the greater guardian of Earth by day.
Giant fireball of fury not undone,
its mighty heat is felt light years away.
For decades they have worshipped the great light
in stolen glimpses on the breast of sky.
Intensity of brightness beyond sight,
the star cannot be viewed with naked eye.
Sun radiates with warmth and golden glow
to soothe the sullen nature of mankind
and stimulates all things to bloom and grow
in glories of enrichment from its shine.
This ball of gas and fire gives life to Earth
for energy, renewal and rebirth.
