Summers Serenade
Happiness!
No monkeys in masks....
Digging your toes into the warm sand.
The scent of the waters, so sweet.
As you inhaled them with joy.
Those days when girls were girls,
And boys were boys.
And we did not have to play with Woke
toys.
People even smoked cigarettes!
Try it now! You will be smoke-shamed!
We could say any words.
There were no word police!
We worked and had families that played
under our colorful umbrellas!
The prism of life was bright!
Whoever dreamed the governments of
the world, would have the nerve to turn
off those loving lights?
You want it back?
Start writing poetry to remind people
what they have lost.
Our governments want us enslaved and
that’s that!
Be the voice for freedom and joy!
Wake up the world!
