Amazing, how a summer rain will bring
old sorrows to my heart that hurt anew:
the dreariness that soon will seep and cling
as rain brings forth its darkness into view.
Oh, rainy day, your gloom will surely swing,
for soon the summer sun will break right thru.
Those solemn thoughts you always bring to me,
will turn to smiles as sun rays help them flee.
