Summer Pleasure
S ummer is just the grandest time of year;
U nending times of fun and merriment,
M asses of lovely flowers, heaven sent
M oments of wonderment are everywhere,
E arly mornings, the lovely sights appear.
R iveting colors in a wild ascent.
P ainted on mountaintops without relent
L oveliness so rich I can only stare.
E ver deeper reds radiate in sky
A nd I am fascinated by the show.
S un is now shining brightly all around.
U nimpressed by the beauty from on high
R obins keep right on pecking for they know
E asy breakfasts are waiting to be found.
