Farewell summer, I bid goodbye I’m ready for the open views Through bare trees laced with crystal flakes And snowcapped mountains in the sky After fall spills all its color Leaving me crisp, fresh air to breathe I’m comforted by a warm fire 9/7/19 *Entry for Farewell Summer Poetry Contest. This was an interesting take on the theme,Heidi. Whereas most poems I've read stressed the sorrow at the departure of summer, you are already looking forward to other seasons. I loved 'fall spills all its colour'.

Thank you Sunlite. I used to dread winter, until I came here to experience the beautiful sights, including sunrises and sunsets I see in both directions. :)
