What a lovely picture of "sunshine smiling skies" Milt. Love the alliteration that flows like the "stream" throught both stanzas. Congratulations on your win!

Alliteration is peeking her glimpses out of this one also; nicely penned.

Thanks, Caren. You know, I didn't even notice the alliteration when I was writing it. It just peeked in there naturally, I reckon.

Thanks, Janice. I spent a lot of time on this little poem trying to get it to come out like I wanted it to. I'm glad you got a smile out of it.

Sounds like Saturday afternoon picnics when I was a kid, finding a creek bank with rocks to sit on but deeper in places to at least wade. Like the alliteration, Milt.

Ah, thanks so much, Reason. I appreciate your kind encouragement. You know, I had not noticed the alliteration. It was not deliberate, but I'm so glad you pointed it out. I tend to think that way, you know.
