Stretch Not the Fiber

As we often try to catch up to tomorrow We let our lives lose focus on what’s right The moral fiber, that exists within us Soon snaps because we’ve pulled it way too tight Let’s slow down and not worry about what may be Remember what we must be and do for fellow man Send love, compassion, pay homage and just be good Acknowledge others by extending out a hand Don’t worry, tomorrow will always get here Though, it may not be what you were hoping for But, you can smile in knowing you’ve done the right things After all is said and done, could you want more? Relax the fiber, then, that is within us Use it well to help you make a choice You will reach tomorrow and those thereafter Because you heard the fiber’s little voice...conscience

Hello Michael Love the sentiment in this. It's so true that it's easy to loose sight of what's really important in today. Seems like chasing happiness is something we can't catch, for it lives in the moment.Enjoyed very much. Very well written with good flow and ryhme.

Often being moral is equated with being "uptight", so I found the message of this poem both instructive and insightful. Thanks.
