Stepping Through Time
STEPPING THROUGH TIME
I never believed in magic, until I found that portal
That carried me through time, into that mystic masked ball
One moment I was in the woods, the next in a ballroom floor
Surrounded by masked faces, girls wearing sumptuous gowns
I blinked once and twice, couldn't believe in my eyes
I was wearing a translucent pearl gown, that looked from an ancient time
Then surged a masked god, that smiled at me and bowed
He winked and grabbed my hand, swirling me on the dance floor
I could smell his clean clothes, could feel his tuxedo under my fingers
I thought It was a dream but all seemed so real, I had no idea what I was living
I could feel his fingers on my waist, his warm breath on my neck
Felt a spark on my chest, felt at home… finally… content
It makes no sense, I know… we hadn't even exchanged a hello
But it was like two souls meeting after a long time apart
I belonged to him and he to me.. I just knew it, on my heart
Then I heard the clock strikes midnight and was blinded by a white light
Found myself back in the woods… from my masked god…not even a spark
I fell to the floor, sobbing my heart out… I wanted back on my god’s arms!
Then I felt a touch on my face and a low voice said “I followed you, didn’t want to part”
I looked into my god’s eyes… he winked at me, and said “Magic happens, never doubt!”
