Starry Dream
The sky is dark blue this dreamy night,
But in the vast canopy only one star is winking;
It beckons to my soul so I reach out with my finger,
And magically stars are sprinkling and cascading.
Like a waterfall of lights they swirl and twirl and dance,
I am taken up in a whirlwind of bliss and delight;
Then I find myself in an enchanted forest,
Alone but for a beautiful unicorn horse all white.
And I ride this ethereal creature all the night long,
Over streams flowing and forests and valleys green;
To stunning ancient places and wondrous cities,
Oh sadly it is dawn and I must un-dream this dream.
