She hesitated before descending the steps Tears had already welled up in her eyes As a feeling of sadness enveloped her Her mood was colored indigo, She was leaving her childhood home, Going off to a distant college; She stood there, frozen, as memories flooded in, The birthday parties, her prom, pillow fights.... "She whispered a tearful goodbye, then, ran out the door." Even though this poem is fictional, the emotions within feel so real. (Many can relate to saying goodbye to memories). Your thoughts caress softly around me and my heart. My best to you, Joseph. Hugs, Brandy
