During cold, snowy days of winter I had dreams,
in my mind seeing green forests and flowing streams;
I planned- created my Spring garden in my mind.
and soon, soon all my flowers will be sweetly twined.
Then, a virus came and closed all garden places,
but to bags of earth and seeds I give embraces;
'cause I stocked up at the end of summer last year,
so, I will have my Spring garden- I feel a tear.
I planted inside many, many kinds of seeds,
more than enough to complete my gardening needs;
they are all thriving on my window sill- waiting,
but the weather is still too cold for creating.
The sweet morning glory are twining and seeking,
those green, green vines are curling, twirling and swirling;
garden scarlet beans are running up everything,
I am controlling and holding them back with string.
The wild ,wildflowers are getting so tall and lush,
pretty in the garden- hues touched by God's paint brush;
so, you see I am ready for Spring with my plants,
whenever- Spring whispers to me in breezy chants.
