N/A in Spontaniety contest

Truth be told truth behold, This I see is how all unfolds In plain sight not in darkness like here tonight I see the sky ask myself why there’s no reply, No mothership to take a trip And… oh my god I’m overwhelmed! by majesty … constellations partnerships A crescent moon beckoning me imploring me to look harder, The answer’s here before my eyes not in disguise (Moon) I’m here for you at this moment let’s synchronise, Be here for me too we are the same you have a mind I reflect the flame The big guy is below horizons elsewhere rising, draped in plasma I follow his lead unerringly accede We made you and you make us by being here conscious aware, we overlook you undertook to question why But there is no lie The truth’s blinding the truth’s binding so let it be Not always pretty Not always loving Not always giving Not always taking never faking open and bare Raw and gaping Man gives us reason we bring him seasons his path seems tough and never enough So thank you for looking up come what may we shared a reflection Go now brother we’ve seen the light, Others did too tonight just not as bright

You can commiserate and congratulate all at once on this one Anaya, N/A in seekers contest and 4th in Constance, but this one went down pretty well overall, so I’m happy with that, cheers David

"Spontaneity" reminds us of the mutual relationship between humanity and the cosmos, where each gives meaning and existence to the other. My former teacher, Amit Goswami, a theoretical physicist with a knack for connecting science and spirituality, says, "It's a self-aware universe in which we find ourselves.' Best wishes, Don

We do indeed have poetry Don, I sometimes use it as an outlet and conduit perhaps into the conscious universe, I must read up on Anil Seth, I believe AI will unlock many answers, in the near future, the cosmos and us seem to be heading towards a certain inevitability of realisation, I must also catch up with your own poems over the coming week, thanks again!

Hi David, Yes! Consciousness = the ground of our being. I've spent many years studying in the consciousness studies field. Goswami looked to quantum physics for answers. Being You: A New Science of Consciousness" by Anil Seth is an interesting read. AI is accelerating our research on consciousness. In the meantime, we have poetry. Eh? Cheers, Don

I totally agree Don, I believe we simply have to be, and consciousness is the missing GUT (grand unified theory) that connects everything in the cosmos, from the quanta to eternity, good to meet you, and thank you for stopping by today with encouraging comments, cheers David

Your poem has inspired me to look up at the night sky more often to start a more binding cosmic connection. Nothing in this universe exists without a purpose. Everything is complementary and fosters life. The moon follows the sun when it takes the lead. They give us flame and we enjoy it and thrive on it. Your cognizance of the wonders of nature is penetrating and enlightening. Great entry dear David.

Unfortunately my entry didn’t follow the line of inquiry Valsa, and got an N/A, which is fully understandable, however I always write for myself first, and know it comes at a cost in contests, I like this one myself, and felt quite inspired when writing it, thanks so much for Kind comments, cheers David

Begotten by moon and sun....a novel big bang theory indeed. Evocative piece, DK. :o)

Thanks Arlo, oh I do love theories, especially ones that bring consciousness into the equation, cheers David

It happens that the sun and the moon appear in the sky occasionally. The splendour however can be seen when each is hidden.

Moon & Sun..Created for one another, to exist with one another. We should look up to the sky more often, like the ancients did for discovery. Spontaneous Combustion ignited a stellar poet and his poem! Cheers David! ~Anaya

It really was a spontaneous poem Anaya, consciousness and the cosmos are intrinsically linked imo, leading me to believe there simply cannot be one without the other, it’s a beautiful concept to think deeply about, and where better to start than with the moon and sun, I have the night sky app on my phone and can point it in any direction even indoors and see the universe play out before my eyes, thanks so much, cheers David

The level of creativity and brilliance displayed in your work is truly remarkable, David. Your writing has taken me on an extraordinary voyage through existence, allowing me to connect with the cosmic sphere. Your concluding lines, much like the moon illuminating you, also shed light on your ability to delve into subjects with unparalleled depth and wisdom.

Thank you Lasaad, I try see these celestial bodies for what they really are (perspectively of course) yes they have indulgent beauty, but they eat right into my psyche, and push me to interpret what they are actually saying to me, you’re very kind to stop by with such fine observations and comments, cheers David

Having a conversation with the moon and having it recognize you as 'brother'... if only, how enlightening that would be. No pun intended there. I love love the Big Guy reference to the sun. Your last lines are as the moon sees you, me too in that you delve deeper on most subjects than most poets do.

A reflective moment of being at one with the universe Lin, and recognising we cannot exist without each other, all from my perspective of course, others might just say yeah the moon is there, big deal! but it is a big deal to me it’s relationship with the big guy (sun well spotted) and our earth is beyond coincidence, thank you so much for such an uplifting comment, cheers David

Heya Jan, thanks so much, a perhaps not so complicated journey through the essence of being at one with the cosmos, hope that new book of yours is coming along well, and is every bit the success of book #1 if not even bigger! Cheers David

Ha! I’m delighted to share the trip with you Dilly, I told you the moon is there for a reason, it’s telling us so itself, if we listen! Do you like my picture of Dr Manhattan, he’s a type of god in the Watchmen movie, with some great quotes and lines, thank you so much for a great comment and Fave, cheers David
