Vastness
We shall lie
At peace, beneath
Mountains of moonbeams
No servants or masters

Peace? "The worms crawl in, the worms crawl out . . . .", so cremation is another option, but you are quite right as smoke and ash also become stardust forming new visions. Best of luck in the contest! Aloha! Rico

Your words weave a magic spell, Michelle. I love the quote you chose and the poem behind it, as I know you do. We both went with the 'peace' theme. Love the line "Shackles of suffering release" and the phrase "equal bells" plus the celestial references. Very calming. Well done, I know this will do well in the contest. Yes, the quote is from her 'Dirge Without Music' (and she does not approve!) I thought about doing something in that vein, but decided to go with the idea of eternal rest - so pleased you enjoyed it!
