Sometimes

I speculate where you are....sometimes. Or how life's treating you....sometimes. I question if you miss me....sometimes, But definitely not all the time. Those stormy days of love are over, Oh I still feel the heat…..sometimes, Full ruby lips like heated sweet red wine Bubbling over mine. For we did have our moments....sometimes Sultry, provocative, passionate, real. Times when we laughed, times when we cried. No I do not miss you, not even sometimes, For if you could really see me You'll know that I'm someone else now...sometimes, But often I am nothing, for curse you I need you....most of the time.

Oh Victor, this is so sweet, I love this! I had read several of your previous poems today and the one about war scared me, the one about contaminants made me feel like buying only organic, and this? Aw, this is Victor's signature poetry, and so very lovely.

Dear Victor, your passionate verse is both melancholy blue and red hot, a delicate blend of potent emotion and imagery so beautifully balanced on the high wire of love and pain and loss. Your poetic pen truly is rich, deep and golden, my friend. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

This is so touching Victor but equally as powerful. Such a reflective reads that makes you pause with each ‘sometimes’. What a gift you have with how masterfully you can express such deep thoughts, emotions and make the reader really feel what is being conveyed. I love your poetry. Like many, I can relate to these words of anguish and so much more so it’s a fav for me too Victor. Hugs and blessings to you. Just wanted to say as well what a lovely thing dear Bill has said .

Thanks for sharing the feelings one goes through after losing a spouse or someone they loved, especially if for a long time, Victor. I admire your passion and love, your strength and faith, my friend. A manly hug for you brother, we care about you and your poetry. The holidays can be very challenging after such a loss. Stay active and don't be afraid to soup mail if you need to talk about anything. A poet friend in Texas, Bill

So interesting, just like those in love, you sometimes contradicted yourself in this lovely poem.

Your story, as usual, captivates, Victor. The recurring memories of lost love, accompanied by pain and regret, make this poem sad, but it's so beautifully expressed!

Your emotions dip and curve like a roller coaster in these lines, Victor. It's the pain of a love that was lost, is missed and your anger over it... sometimes.

What a touching and powerful poem, Victor. You've uniquely expressed the emptiness and anger of losing one's spouse. Yes, you become someone new afterwards, but not necessarily the someone who wanted to be. I was taken by the days of romantic longing. Loved this...am faving, enjoy your day, Sara

Victor, your poetry shows a high degree of skill. Its refrain relates discreetly to the idea that our intellect often conflicts with our heart's seeks. The poem captures the essence of transition and leaves us asking about other paths we may have chosen.
