Something To Find

I walk the path of spoken words Through Nature’s garden with singing birds I walk the path to the top of the mountain So, the words will flow like a fountain I walk to be free and to always see What may be shining bright around me To lift my heart to places safe to be Where I can dance forever free I watch with wonder and curiosity To clear my mind of animosity I touch the soft petals of a rose Smell the sweet scent with my nose I accept the rain, washing over me today I see the light part of skies still gray There is something to find, every single day Even when life leads us astray Heidi Sands 8/5/17

Lovely write, Heidi. As someone who suffers from depression, I found great beauty in these lines which remind me to always look outside of my own frame of reference to see the beauty around.
