Some Selfish Ends

I don't publicly recite... not wanting to tie a personal image, to the spirit of my poetry – taking credit away from the true author~who I strive to inspire my every write; a poor plagiarizer I am, even more when in sight.... but, the lesser of me, admits to some selfish ends~for how my poetry leans, entwines, ruffles and bends – though greatly admiring Shakespeare, Keats and their like; could my soul, their lyric beauty, entirely feed... I would not write and only read....

Joe, Somehow, we learn by reading many different styles of poetry, as we develop our own style. I enjoyed your poem. Blessings ~ Debra

For sure: study, study, study, and live! Absorb. Analyze. Question! -- one needs to get as much into one's self as possible~then, now and then, something very special will come out. Thank you, Deb; blessings!

I think we all add to other poets, friends, family - none of us are an island to ourselves. We are inspired by many!

I truly believe that also; I enjoy witty, thoughtful remarks to my works. Delighting when I find them even better than my poem, or enhancing, extending dimension. In love and joy, we are all one! Thank you, Kim.
