~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Solid dew pearls ornament the leaves Shivering winter pushes sun into sleeves Moon glances through the icy blizzard Bearing it as a brave wizard Sky waters the land with frozen rain Earth kisses it with pleasing pain Grass sleeps under the shimmering cushion Waiting to rise, holding spring's vision Snow fairies in myth seem alive When the shed trees breathe to life No color but white around Yet nature appears like heaven ground Months of frozen days bring happiness Mashed up with a little laziness
Snow white winter is a pleasure. although it nearly froze me first time. I was coming from 110 def F(India) to 30 deg F (Colorado) weather. But I survived, enjoying the snow, ice and the mountains. Nice poem.
I love to read poems from the computer but with no punctuation, it loses its magnificent thrill. Yet this is a thrilling poem that I read again to taste the lovely imagery of a cold season.
A pretty poem of winter's special effects. The land remains quiet, while winter sweeps across in a white cloak.
