I didn't see this one before but it's so nice... I remember waiting and then the slide (don't hit the creek at the bottom!) then the long slog back to the top through knee high snow! Tired!! Elizabeth

Dear Bill, your charming poem brings back such beautiful childhood nostalgia for me, your golden pen must be enchanted. I still love the snow, and living in the Northeast, I see my fair share of it. I thought I had commented on this lovely piece yesterday but it seems like that comment has disappeared.. the PS gremlins are at it again! :) Warmest wishes, my friend.. ~Susan

Takes me back, Bill, One aspect i've learnt here on soup, as children, all over the world where snow is imminent, we all adhered to the scene you write of in this Senryu.. Love it. Harry

Children need to get out of the house and off their devices to experience real life. I love to see children interacting with each other and smiling. Have a great week, my friend. Bill

I remember waiting for my turn in so many ways back in the day, but I still do wait my turn in so many ways and places. I enjoyed reading this one. Thanks for sharing and for dropping by my page. Sara

I can imagine that scene quite vividly, Bill, though unfortunately I never see it in real life since we never get any snow in Malta. ~ Best regards // paul

icy slopes are children's playground...you captured it beautifully. I have to admit, however, I didn't always wait my turn--wanted to beat my brothers down the hill. :-) Thanks for your Senryu
